Dr. Zach Verner
Dr. Zach says that he gets to meet and build relationships with people from all walks of life while creating healthy smiles. It’s a rewarding feeling unlike any other, and these connections give him the energy to keep learning and improving so he can serve you, his patients, and the entire community even more as time goes on.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Zach always knew that he wanted to be in the medical field. His passion and drive for helping others, coupled with the creativity that encapsulates dentistry, are what motivated him to become a dentist. Coming from a family in the dental field (his parents have over 70 years of combined dental experience!), he takes great pride in returning home to treat the community that helped raise him alongside his family.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Zach earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Georgia, where he was a pitcher for the Nighthawks baseball team. Following his undergraduate studies, he completed a two-year graduate school program at Duquesne University, which propelled him out west to dental school at A.T. Still University/Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. Dr. Zach completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree and immediately returned home to Pittsburgh.
With dentistry being an ever-changing profession, Dr. Zach strives to stay up to date on the latest technologies as well as consistently take continuing education courses to enhance his techniques and provide the safest and best possible outcomes for his patients. That’s why he’s an active member of the American Dental Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When he is not in the office, you can find Dr. Zach enjoying a workout, on the golf course, giving back to his community through various organizations such as Give Kids a Smile and Missions of Mercy Pittsburgh, or spending time with his wife and family.
